As someone with Asperges Sydrome who has just finished secondary school last year, it is clear to me that something must be done. Life for people like me is hell at schools because people don't understand us. I believe if people were properly educated on Autism and ADHD etc. (especially mild cases as it isn't visible) then bullying in schools would decrease and people like me would thrive.

Certainly there should be more effort going into recognising these things: I've actually got a university rejection letter which, reading it with the benefit of hindsight more or less says "you've got Asperger's, we don't want you". Of course, it didn't actually say that: it was another 20 years before someone suggested I had it.

It is just so wrong that words such as "retard" are used everyday, and its not like the government care about us either

As a subject, mental health in this country needs a thorough review. Depression is another aspect of mental health that is misunderstood and sometimes mis-diagnosed. I agree that we should start educating our young, at an early age, about mental health issues.
